Leonard J. Klonitsko was the grandfather of Mia Klonitsko, a Penguin Figure
Skating Club skater for many years. During his time with Mia at the rink, Leonard
was always present helping each and every kid along the way, supporting not
only his granddaughter but anyone else who needed help. He believed the sport
of figure skating built a foundation of life lessons that helped build character and
taught skaters to reach for the stars. After his passing in 2016, this memorial fund
was established to help skaters in need of ice time so they, too, could possibly be
in the wonderful sport of figure skating.
